Michael Le Roy "Smitty" Smith, 58,
of Kailua died March 6 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Portland, Ore., he was a former drummer with the musical group Paul Revere & the Raiders. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Old Kona Airport. Survived by his sons, Rory (Dena) Smith of Soquel, Calif., and Rio Smith of Corvallis, Ore.; daughters, Alexandra Smith of Corvallis, Ore., and Jenna Smith of Oregon City, Ore.; father, Howard William (Alta) Smith of Beaverton, Ore.; mother, Mildred (John) Kugler of Tigard, Ore.; brother, Jerry (Doris) Smith of Hillsboro, Ore; one grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
